Akdenizli Kadın

Bir üç boyutlu dokuma çalışması. Bir dokuma heykel. Kuru dallar, denizden toplama ahşaplar kalın tel ile sıkıca bir araya getirildi; karkas enstalasyonu için için kullanıldı. Jüt, sisal, pamuk ipler, farklı halatlar ile sarıldı, sarmalandı. Hareket vermek, duygu katmak, ifade vermek hedeflendi. İsyan, dans, ağıt, haykırma var. Buruk bir neşe bile bulursun zorlarsan. Eteklerindeki mavi- beyaz dalgalara gerek kalmadan, küçük göbeği, az kamburu ele veriyor Akdenizliliğini.

Mediterranean Woman

A three dimensional weaving piece. A textile sculpture of a moody woman. Dry and driftwood which are held together with strong wire are used for the under structure. Jute, sisal and cotton fibres and ropes are wrapped all over this fiberart piece. One can find dance, mourning, cry out, rebeling and even maybe a broken joy if you look deep into it. The little belly and the hump in her back reveal her Mediterranean soul, even if you happen to ignore the blue and white waves at her skirt.
