Şahmaran

İran Pers mitolojisinde rastlanan belinden aşağısı yılan, üstü ise insan şeklinde hiç yaşlanmayan dişi Şahmaran motifi bu dokumada detaylarından arındı; dikkat çekici gözlere odaklanıldı.

Jüt ve pamuk ipler kullanılarak dokunan bu duvar kiliminde, kırmızı ve morun gücü doğal jüt ile dengelendi.

Muska, nazar, göz, kemgöz temalarını yine geleneksel kilim motifleri ile birlikte yeniden yorumladığı Altmış Yetmiş Çıkmış Gitmiş Koleksiyonundan bir çalışmadır.

Shahmaran

Shahmaran is a mythical creature in Iran, Anatolia and Iraq. Shah is the title given primarily for the leader of the Iranians and their land and “Mar-an” means snakes. Shahmaran is known as the queen of the serpents. Shahmaran female figure, whose upper body is human and lower part is snake, is freed from her details and the focus is directed to the enchanting eyes in this weaving.

Weaved with jute and cotton fibers, this wall hanging tapestry balances the strong hue of red and violet with natural smoothness of jute.

This tapestry is from sixty seventy shoed to eternity * collection. The collection carries evil eye and amulet themes where the themes are interpreted and redesigned together with traditional kilim patterns.
