Yumurta IV

Yumurta, başlangıçtan bir önceye ait bir nesne-form. Öznenin, her kimse ve neyse oluştuğu ve yaşama hazırlandığı yer. Bir embriyoyu en rasyonel sarmalayan, vücuttan en verimli şekilde çıkabilen formu, yuvarlansa da başlangıç noktasına geri dönen ve yaşamın başlangıcı olacak kadar sağlam bir yapısı ile Yumurta’ya “mükemmel şekil” denilmesi boşuna değil.. Köşesiz, açısız ve kırılganlığıyla doğurganlığı ve naifliği simgeliyor.

Yumurta, benim için hayatı simgeleyen sıcacık güneşi, bu yeni çalışmamda da içine aldı. Ama bu defa çok çekincesi var. Onu dışarda bekleyen kocaman pisliğin farkında. “Bu hayata mı doğacağım” diyor. Kenarlardaki küçük simgeler, işaretler nedir derseniz; onlar, yaşamı bekleyen büyük küçük çaparizler, engeller, müjdeler, kılçıklar, yol ayrımları, iyi-kötü anılar.

Egg IV

The egg is an object-form defining a time before the beginning. It is the place where the subject is formed and prepared for life. It is not for nothing that the egg form is called the “perfect shape”, with its form that wraps an embryo in the most rational way, that can exit the body in the most efficient way, that returns to its starting point even if it rolls, and that is solid enough to be the beginning of life. It symbolizes fertility and naivety with its cornerless, angleless and fragile form.

My new egg design, enclosing the warmest sun, defines a worrying hope. Hesitated with the awareness of the evil, the filth ahead. Asks if it should be born to this world. If you ask what the symbols on the edges are; they are the little burrs, happy moments, obstacles, crossroads, good and bad memories that await life.
