Yumurta III

Yumurta: mükemmel bir şekil, mükemmel bir nesne-form. Köşesiz, açısız, elipsoid küresel konik formu ve kırılganlığıyla doğurganlığı ve naifliği simgeliyor. Bize de üzerine söylenecek binlerce söz, konuşulacak derin felsefe, içinde kaybolacak onlarca tasarım olanağı veriyor. Parmak izlerimiz örneğin; onlar da benzer formda. Ya da baktığım her şeyi öyle görmeye başladım belki. Ama her ikisinin de kimlik kaynağımız olacak şekilde benzersiz ve bize has olması tesadüf olamaz gibi geliyor.

Bu tasarımımda da Yumurta’yı sıcacık kahvelerin koruyucu sıcaklığında kuluçkaya yatırırken, “benzersiz hayatı” içine koymak istedim. Kenarlardaki simgeler nedir derseniz; onlar yaşamı bekleyen küçük çapaklar, engeller, yol ayrımları, iyi kötü anılar. Gizli bir güneşin doğumunu bekliyoruz belki de..

Egg III

Egg: a perfect shape, a perfect object-form. It symbolizes fertility and naivety with its cornerless, angleless, ellipsoid spherical-conical form and fragility. It offres us thousands of things to say, deep philosophies to talk about, and dozens of design ideas to get lost in. Our fingerprints, for example; they are in similar form. Or maybe I started to see everything I looked at that way. But it seems like it cannot be a coincidence that both of them are unique, becoming our source of identity.
In this very design, I wanted to put the “unique life” inside the egg while incubating it in the protective warmth of the natural browns. If you ask what the symbols on the edges are; They are the little burrs, obstacles, crossroads, good and bad memories that await life. Maybe we are waiting for a secret sunrise…
